World's Largest Mass Spec Conference To Be Held Next Week
The 47th American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics will be held at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel in Dallas on June 1317, 1999. The largest spectrometry conference in the world, the ASMS conference will be attended by 5,000 spectroscopists. Sessions will cover analytical instrumentation and fundamentals, biological mass spectrometry, and analytical mass spectrometry.
The program will begin with tutorial lectures on Sunday afternoon followed by a conference mixer in the evening. The program schedule on Monday through Thursday will feature six concurrent oral sessions, poster sessions, and workshops. Cash lunches will be available in the poster hall. The conference will conclude with a Texas barbecue on Thursday evening.
Technical sessions will cover spectroscopy applications in areas such as ion and neutral thermochemistry, food and tobacco, environmental analyses, and combinatorial chemistry.
