GREIFENSEE, Switzerland – Driven by scientific principles, METTLER TOLEDO has developed a risk-based management program, Good Weighing Practice™ (GWP®), which takes care of the entire life cycle of a balance in order to provide sound answers to the user's concerns for establishing and maintaining sustainable quality of their weighing processes.

Throughout the industry, there are common misconceptions regarding balance selection and use as well as incorrect testing programs for periodic verification of the balance's performance. Therefore, METTLER TOLEDO is announcing two educational webinars in regards to measurement uncertainty and minimum weight, as well as routine testing of weighing systems.

This webinar is dedicated to the testing methods that establish a systematic, thorough and useful verification of the balance's performance throughout its life. The webinar will answer questions in regards to technique, frequency, type of test weights and appropriate tolerances. Furthermore, it will be demonstrated that testing depends on two important parameters, namely the weighing accuracy and the risk associated with incorrect weighings. The different roles and responsibilities of calibration provided by the service technician, routine testing with test weights performed by the user, and built-in safety features such as automatic adjustment are detailed, and the methodology of customized recommendations based on an integral test strategy is explained.
