VMC Game Labs Leads In Next Generation Console GameTesting

San Francisco, CA – VMC Game Labs, recently announced its ability to test on all current and next-generation game consoles, including the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Wii and Xbox 360. VMC is looked upon by the best in the industry to assist in critical phases of game development across all games platforms. VMC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Volt Information Sciences, Inc., is showcasing its capabilities in Booth #918 at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) held here this week.

Known for its game testing expertise, VMC Game Labs supports developers and publishers throughout a product's lifecycle – from testing through game support. Over the past year, VMC has worked with leading developers and publishers including Electronic Arts, Activision, Konami, Midway, Ubisoft, Capcom, Codemasters, Eidos Interactive, and Vivendi Universal Games, to name just a few.

By nature of its business model as an outsourcing company, VMC Game Labs focuses its entertainment expertise solely on game testing and technical support for industry-leading entertainment companies across all major video game platforms, including next-generation consoles, PCs, online and mobile devices.

"Our customers come to us because we can deliver scalable and experienced project teams, resources and equipment to efficiently initiate testing and technical services across any platform," said Glenn Hoogerwerf, COO of VMC. "Right now, we have ramped our secure labs to have more than 300 available testers and equipment for Wii and Playstation 3, as well as Xbox 360 game systems. We combine our notable games expertise with project management best practices to bring the best testing and support services to the industry," he added.

Also at the Conference here this week, VMC will share its expertise in game testing at a session on Friday, March 9 at 10:30am-11:30am in room 2010 WH on, "What You Need to Know about Next Generation Video Game Testing" presented by Steve Fowler, VMC's director of product development services.

As video games and entertainment products get more expensive to produce, companies are now looking to outsource some or all of their development more each year. According to Screen Digest, outsourced video game services are estimated to grow to more than $2.5B by 2010. VMC Game Labs provides highly scalable resources – facilities, networks, hardware – and skilled game professionals to deliver services such as quality assurance and testing, technical support and data center services for MMPs from secure, worldwide locations. Part of the advantage of VMC's position is its strategic alliance with the major console manufacturers as well as PC platforms. In the ever-growing online market, VMC is a place where publishers can access comprehensive game services from a centrally located, one-stop partner with experience across all platforms.
