The CHEM2000-UV-VIS is a small-footprint PC-based spectrophotometer intended for chemistry educators and others who use spectroscopy as a teaching tool. It has a 2048-element linear CCD array that provides full spectral analysis from 200-850 nm. The CCD array and optical bench are mounted directly onto an ISA-bus A/D card that fits into a slot in the PC. The device comes with a miniature light source-cuvette holder combination and a 300-µm solarization-resistant optical fiber that carries light from the cuvette holder to the spectrometer. Additionally, it comes with basic 32-bit Windows operating software.
