Statistical design techniques are a means to get the most information from a minimal set of experiments. Basic experimental design should be an integral part of your process optimization plans or laboratory tests and are the basis for maximizing results in quality programs like Six Sigma.
As scientists, we often like to isolate factors and responses, but we live in a multivariate world. Chemometrics is the statistical treatment of many variables to condense and extract meaningful information. Using analytical tools like spectroscopy to take a chemical "picture" of your process, process data, and chemometrics, information which normally ends up in an archive can be useful for process improvements, safety monitoring, or product quality evaluation. Learn more about these techniques with our seminar on Multivariate Data Analysis & Spectroscopy or Integrated Process Analytics.
