Thermo LabSystems Announces Growth in '99 Results

<%=company1%> (Manchester, UK; Boston, MA) has announced the results of the company's financial performance for 1999. LabSystems' revenues have increased by 23.9% from US$32.2 million in 1998 to US$39.9 million in 1999.

Over the same period, the company's income before taxes has increased by 46.9% from US$6.4m to US$9.4m. The number of professionals employed to develop, market, install, and support the company's systems has more than doubled in a four year period, from 114 in 1996* to 250 at the end of 1999. This is accounted for by more than 50 new staff appointments in 1999 alone.

LabSystems develops laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and chromatography data systems for laboratories in both manufacturing and R&D environments. To date, the company has installed over 890 LIMS and 25,000 channels of chromatography data systems worldwide. These systems facilitate the monitoring and analysis of laboratory samples, as well as the organization and storage of data, to meet stringent regulatory standards. LabSystems is the only LIMS supplier to publish such financial information.
