The DMTA V is a dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer that characterizes films, fibers, polymer blends and mixtures, composites, coatings on substrates, thermosets and elastomers, soft solids and pastes, foams, and layered materials. This system allows the user to customize testing conditions in order to match real-life environments.
It can replicate almost any environmental condition to assess effects such as humidity, storage conditions, contact with solvents and moisture, advancement of cure, compounding efficiency, production cycle variations, additive performance, and QC of incoming materials. This unit has been designed to characterize a material's performance and probing the effects of outside influences on a material's behavior. The system also operates automatically once the sample is loaded, and the operating software is specifically written to take full advantage of all Windows features, thus providing a user-friendly interface.
