Sverdrup Technology Wins $118 Million Air Force Contract

Sverdrup Technology Inc. (Tullahoma, TN), a subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Pasadena, CA), has received a $118 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Edwards Air Force Base (Edwards, CA) to provide research operations support services (ROSS).

The contract, which is currently under protest, has a five-year base performance period with two option periods, extending the total contract life through September 2009. Under the contract, Sverdrup will provide operations, testing, design support, and scientific data analysis services at the AFRL, the United States' premier rocket propulsion research and development center.

Sverdrup will team with ERC Inc. and Applied Engineering Services Inc. (AES) on the project. ERC will perform work across the entire contract, with particular emphasis in propellant development, environmental work, and data analysis. AES will be responsible for design tasks under the new contract.
