The 5504 Sulfur Specific Analyzer (SSA 5504) is designed for natural and LP gas odorant; refinery, petrochemical, and chemical gas; and specialty gas applications. The manufacturer states that the analyzer is designed to provide exceptional sensitivity and selectivity for the measurement of total or specified sulfur in gaseous samples. The analyzer is well suited for use in the laboratory or remote locates for off-line, at-line or on-line discrete sample analysis.
According to the manufacturer, the analyzer's modular design, which includes gas sampling hardware, an isothermal oven, and computerized interface, allows for straightforward and inexpensive maintenance. In addition, using the manufacturer's patented Sulfur Chemiluminescence Detector (SCD) technology, the instrument can provide a linear, equimolar response over a wide concentration range.
