Stereo Microscope for Semiconductor Inspection
The HR (high-resolution) Apochromat objectives have the highest resolution in their class and are corrected for chromatic aberration and distortion simultaneously. With various combinations of HR Plan Apochromat lenses and available eyepieces, magnifications of 3.75x to 540x are possible.
The microscope features a new lighting technique called Oblique Coherent Contrast (OCC) developed specifically for stereo applications. It is capable of revealing phase differences as small as one-thirtieth of the wavelength of light. The instrument's new Brightfield/Darkfield (BD) stand features a toroidal darkfield mirror with a curved shape that, according to the manufacturer, yields brighter, higher contrast images. Three stands are available, all featuring the manufacturer's Up-Front fine focus control and heat dissipation to assure the work surface stays below 37°C.
The microscope's standard binocular tubes have a 20° angle so the operator does not need to lean forward while making observations. Click-stops allow the operator to change zoom magnifications without taking their eyes away from the eyepieces. The eyepieces have long eye relief so that corrective and protective eyewear can be worn, and the coaxial (fine/coarse) focus has an anti-backlash mechanism for ease of movement.
Illumination options include the manufacturer's new NI 150 series fiber optic illuminators including the NI 150, a high-intensity 150W halogen light source with a heat blocking filter included. Also offered is the manufacturer's Stereo Fluorescence Illuminator, which offers four filter positions, as well as an optional photo/video port that attaches directly to the illuminator.
