SP Industries Expands Lab Portfolio By Acquiring Reliance Glass Works

SP Industries (Buena, NJ) has acquired the assets of Reliance Glass Works Inc. (Bensenville, IL). Reliance, a major supplier of scientific glassware in the Midwest since 1963, will operate as the Reliance Glass Division of Wilmad/Wilmad/LabGlass -- an SP Industries Brand (Buena/Vineland, NJ).

Wilmad specializes in custom-designed, high-precision glassware products for spectroscopy applications. These are manufactured in a variety of glasses including quartz, Pyrex, and sodium borosilicate. Wilmad products are used in high-tech aerospace systems, state-of-the-art analytical measurement equipment, and sophisticated electronic components and subassemblies.

Wilmad/LabGlass -- an SP Industries Brand has manufactured custom-designed products for research laboratories for more than 60 years. The company offers a line of products designed specifically for biotechnology and wet chemistry applications. Among the company's off-the-shelf research products are adapters, bubblers, clamps, condensers, distillation apparatus, flasks, vials, and stoppers.
