The FreeZone 6 Liter Benchtop Freeze Dry System is suitable for moderate sample loads and when the lab has limited floor space.
The FreeZone 6 Liter Benchtop Freeze Dry System is suitable for moderate sample loads and when the lab has limited floor space. It contains no environmentally harmful chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs). The system can be customized to specific research requirements with accessories including several drying chambers, manifold and a stoppering tray dryer.
The system features a user-friendly control panel providing touch pad switches for controlling refrigeration, vacuum and LCD menu selection. Automatic one-button start-up can be used to initiate the collector cool down and vacuum pull down sequences. Refrigeration and vacuum may also be controlled manually. An LCD displays system parameters and alarm messages and LED "waves" provide at-a-glance display of relative system vacuum level and collector temperature. An alarm light flashes red to alert the user to power failures, line voltage surges, collector temperature above –40°C or when the vacuum pump requires service.
The system has a ½ hp refrigeration system which cools the collector to –50°C (-58°F) and removes up to 4 liters of water in a 24 hour period. It has a collection capacity of 6 liters of ice before defrosting.
