Shimadzu Scientific Instruments Offers LC Virtual Advisor For Prominence HPLC Support

Columbia, MD - Shimadzu Scientific Instruments, Inc. (SSI) announced the launch of its LC Virtual Advisor, a web-based application providing 24-hour support to users of Shimadzu's Prominence HPLC systems. The LC Virtual Advisor supports the Prominence modular HPLC system, offering password-protected access to an area where a user's custom configurations are stored and adaptive support, maintenance, and troubleshooting are available.

The software offers access to an interactive Advanced Troubleshooting module with a Q&A protocol that enables users to diagnose and correct problems in HPLC applications. The module also includes a Troubleshooting Contact button where users can contact Shimadzu Technical Support via an e-mail that automatically includes their system configuration. This provides support personnel with detailed insight into the customer's specific system and enables accelerated issue resolution.

In addition, the LC Virtual Advisor features a maintenance section that provides animated maintenance procedures customized to the user's configured Prominence system and a reference section featuring a glossary of HPLC-related terms, HPLC tips, and laboratory utilities.
