Rigel Medical Offers Rigel 266 Plus Portable Medical Electrical Safety Analyzer

Provides both semi-automatic and fully manual test routines

The Seaward Group, a supplier of safety test instruments, introduces the Rigel 266 plus from Rigel Instruments. The Rigel 266 plus is a highly compact, easy-to-use medical electrical safety analyzer designed to test in accordance with IEC/EN 60601-1, MDA DB9801, and AS/NZ 3200.

Providing for both semi-automatic and fully manual medical test routines, the Rigel 266 plus lets the user easily select routines via an intuitive rotary select switch and dedicated push buttons for individual Single Fault Condition. A sequence of Leakage measurements can be selected without requiring a power break, providing a quick test solution for medical equipment requiring a power-up/down delay time.

The analyzer's large, easy-to-view LCD display provides clear indication of test results, Single Fault Condition, AC or DC measurements, and pass/fail limits. A dedicated 9-pin D connector serial output provides for possible data transfer to printer or PC. RS 232 also allows for real time download to PC/laptop.

Tests performed by the Rigel 266 Plus include: earth continuity >25A/10A/1A; Insulation (EUT & applied parts); Earth Leakage; Enclosure Leakage; Patient Leakage; Patient Leakage (F-Type applied parts/mains on applied parts); Patient Leakage Applied Part to Earth (mains on SIP/SOP); Load Test; and IEC Lead Test.
