Time resolved spectroscopy and simultaneous multiple modulation...

Time resolved spectroscopy and simultaneous multiple modulation (2D-IR) are two additional advanced research experiments for the Magna-IR 860 E.S.P. spectrometer. Time resolved spectroscopy studies kinetic changes in the nano-second time frame. It is primarily used to study repeatable events when they occur much faster than can be seen with linear scanning techniques.

Multiple modulation techniques are used in the study of samples as they undergo cyclical stresses and strains. This technique also allows researchers to study changes that occur at the molecular level within the sample as it undergoes flow, deformation and relaxation.
