The PQ ExCell, a quadrupole ICP-MS, features a Collision Cell Technology (CTT) option, which allows the selective attenuation of unwanted polyatomic interferences. This system has the fully-automated PlasmaScreen torch, which yields cool-plasma operation. This provides flexibility in eliminating argon-based interferences as well as the high backgrounds associated with easily ionizable elements. This ICP-MS is suited for both research and quality control in a diverse range of applications including semiconductor material analysis, nuclear material analysis and geochemical research.
