Product Test Laboratory Announces QUV Accelerated Weathering Capability

San Jose, CA /PRNewswire/ - Westpak, Inc., a leading independent third-party testing laboratory, is pleased to announce the addition of Ultraviolet Accelerated Weathering Testing per the ASTM G154 standard to its test portfolio. Westpak conducts specialized ultraviolet (UV) testing using a Q-Lab QUV test chamber which quickly, accurately and economically reproduces the damage caused by many years of exposure to the combined detrimental effects of sunlight, high temperature, and moisture to materials and products.

The QUV test chamber exposes coupons and small assemblies to a combination of elevated temperature, UV light, water spray and high humidity during test cycles to accurately reproduce the damaging effects of sunlight, heat, and moisture over time. Significant savings in time and expense are achieved compared to outdoor testing.
