Polymer Short Courses--Polymer Stabilization and Degradation

This short course presents a comprehensive review of the mechanisms of stabilization and degradation reactions, and practices in stabilizer formulation and dosage. This course is designed for experienced and inexperienced chemists/engineers, responsible for the development of polymer based products and interested in learning how to optimize stabilizer formulations for cost- performance balance. Technical people who work for suppliers of stabilizers and related additives will also benefit from an improved understanding of the mechanisms of stabilization and degradation and knowledge of pros and cons of various stabilizers now commercially available.
