Perkinelmer Launches Totalchrom® 6.3 Chromatography Data System With Powerful New Capabilities

PerkinElmer Inc. (NYSE: PKI), a leading provider of drug discovery, life science research, and analytical solutions, today announced the launch of version 6.3 of their TotalChrom® Chromatography Data System, adding powerful new functionality to the company's proven chromatography software. TotalChrom 6.3 brings a new level of performance and increased productivity coupled with ease-of-use and flexibility for fast-paced, high-throughput, high-volume data reporting laboratories.

The announcement was made at the Eastern Analytical Symposium & Exhibition, which is being held from November 15-18 at the Garden State Convention Center in Somerset, New Jersey.

TotalChrom 6.3 new features include:

· IRIS 3-D spectral processing software, a next generation software package offers that a fully 21 CFR Part 11 compliant architecture, automated processing and a modern, intuitive interface.

· A "Review and Approve"(R&A) feature to quickly and easily examine numerous chromatograms and reports and if desired, to electronically sign off and route the approved data.

· Enhanced integration with PerkinElmer's TurboMatrix™ Headspace Samplers to simplify use and streamline operations, including faster setup times and reduced entry errors.

Bringing these exciting new features and functionality to customer laboratories, TotalChrom 6.3 is expected to be available in early 2005. Anyone purchasing TotalChrom for the remainder of 2004 will receive a free upgrade to TotalChrom 6.3.
