Perkin-Elmer Expands Collaboration With Cetac

Perkin-Elmer's Analytical Instruments Division (Norwalk, CT) and Cetac Technologies (Omaha, NE) have expanded their collaboration, allowing Perkin-Elmer to market, distribute, and service Cetac products throughout most of Europe. Under the expanded agreement, Perkin-Elmer has the capability to provide service for Cetac products used in conjunction with inductively coupled plasma (ICP) or inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) instruments.

Cetac currently manufactures sampling accessories for the Perkin-Elmer Optima series of inductively coupled plasma-optical emissions spectrometers (ICP-OES) and Elan series of inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometers (ICP-MS). This new collaboration will augment the existing arrangement between Cetac and Perkin-Elmer in their development of "point-of-use" customer support tools.

Cetac Technologies specializes in sample introduction and sample pre-treatment technologies for chemical analysis.

Perkin-Elmer develops, manufactures, and markets life science systems and analytical instruments used in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, environmental testing, food, agriculture, semiconductor, and chemical manufacturing.
