Park City Solutions Acquires Laboratory Consulting Firm

Information technology provider Park City Solutions (PCS; Midway, UT) has acquired Chi Laboratory Systems Inc. (CLS; Ann Arbor, MI), a laboratory consulting and management services company.

With the acquisition, PCS gains CLS' expertise in medical laboratory operations improvement, performance benchmarking, multi-lab consolidation, compliance, billing and collections, laboratory sales and marketing, and pathology staffing and compensation. CLS has performed services involving over 500 hospital laboratories.

CLS will continue to operate with its name and basic corporate structure, and will retain all existing officers and management.

"Health care entities have traditionally found it very difficult to find service organizations that can deliver both best practices and information technology to provide comprehensive solutions," Terry Pitts, president and CEO of Park City Solutions, commented.

"We will utilize CLS' laboratory consulting and management expertise as the foundation for our clinical venue strategy, employing in particular its advanced benchmarking and performance measurement system, and lab operations optimization technology to help hospitals achieve a best practices standard of performance," Pitts continued.

Park City Solutions was formed through the partnership of Chicago-based private equity investment firm GTCR Golder Rauner LLC and industry leaders Terry Pitts, Scott Holbrook, and Scott Remley. Through development, internal growth, and acquisition, Park City Solutions is focused on delivering essential components of implementation, integration, and optimization of information technology solutions for the health industry.
