Optiglass Announces Important Extension To The Starna® Range Of Neutral Density Filters
Manufactured within an ISO 9000 quality environment and calibrated in the company's own ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory, the new filters are certified on an instrument which has been referenced to the new NIST (US National Institute of Standards and Technology) primary reference material SRM 2930 (Starna equivalent set RM-D1D39N).
As John Hammond, Starna's Technical & Marketing Manager for Analytical Products explains, ‘This important development means that customers who wish to work at higher absorbances to avoid a dilution step in their procedures, can now qualify their instrument via a traceable route – an essential requirement, in many regulated environments. As we now offer a wide choice of 16 certified filters covering the range 0.1 – 92 %T (0.035–3.0 A), users can select exactly the right one for their particular application.'
Based in Hainault, UK, Optiglass is the leading manufacturer of spectrophotometer cells (cuvettes) and optical components for spectrophotometry.
