The new CF160 Infinity Optical System is designed to accommodate the advanced imaging requirements of today's fabs.

According to the manufacturer, the new system's LU-Series objectives for reflected light applications offer increased brightness and the highest possible combination of working distances and numerical aperture. All of the new objectives are stain-free, so they can be used for differential interference contrast (DIC), and are CF corrected, resulting in corrected lateral and axial chromatic aberrations.

The system allows accessories to be inserted into the optical path. In addition, the distance between the objective and the eyepiece tube is not fixed, so the height of the eyepiece can be adjusted to accommodate various users.

The system relies on a larger 60mm parfocal distance and a larger barrel diameter, which can simultaneously provide the brightest image currently available with reduced flare, according to the manufacturer.

The system also offers reduced contamination and is environmentally friendly. The anti-static construction and coatings reduce the attraction of dust and contaminates. In BD objectives, the darkfield illumination path is covered to prevent debris from flowing through. The lenses also incorporate Eco-Glass, which is made without toxic materials such as arsenic and lead.
