Industry's Fastest Quadrupole Mass Detector Covers the Widest Mass Range

The innovative TurboMass™ Gold Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) system, a powerful detector with unmatched speed and mass range that increases laboratory productivity and reduces laboratory costs, is being launched by PerkinElmer Instruments at the Pittcon® 2001 tradeshow.

The TurboMass Gold GC Mass Spectrometer drives laboratory productivity to higher levels with new, state-of-the-art processor technology that delivers the fastest scan rates available for quadrupole GC/MS. The instrument features an impressive 1-1200 Da. mass range and a 105 dynamic range that affords users the performance necessary to execute difficult analyses in fields such as pharmaceutical and materials testing. The TurboMass Gold GC Mass Spectrometer can detect to the femtogram level, and has selectable ionization capabilities.

Utilized in conjunction with PerkinElmer's TurboMatrix™ Headspace and TurboMatrix Thermal Desorber products, the TurboMass Gold system achieves a high level of sample throughput for environmental applications.

The easily maintained TurboMass Gold Spectrometer can perform both selected ion and full scan monitoring (SIFI™) in a single run, allowing users to gain sensitive quantitative information while simultaneously capturing searchable spectra. The spectrometer also supports PerkinElmer's PreVent™ and ProTect™ technologies that minimize contamination, significantly increasing laboratory productivity.
