New Jersey Lab Equipment Testing Company Welcomes GE Product Line

Bound Brook, NJ /PRNewswire/ - A New Jersey company that specializes in monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of laboratory equipment has expanded its role even further by adding a well known innovator, General Electric, as a provider among its array of high-tech equipment and services. Baseline Service, LLC, headquartered in Bound Brook, NJ, recently announced that it is a distributor for GE's Measurement & Control Division.

Testing and calibration of laboratory equipment, whether for pharmaceuticals or sustainable energy, plays a big role in protecting the health and safety of the public. If the equipment and instrumentation in our labs is not accurate, it puts consumers at risk. GE Measurement & Control is known for the monitoring equipment used for analysis and monitoring in the gas and oil industry, but it is also gaining a niche in healthcare.

Baseline plays a key role in the process by which the FDA monitors commercial laboratories, and its ISO-17025 certification confirms that its testing equipment is firmly under international standardization for laboratory analyses.

"We are pleased to include GE in the products we offer," said Vince Gelsomino, Founder and President of Baseline, who also distributes Electrolab and Scinco among its test and measurement products.

GE's Measurement and Control business is headquartered in Boston and also lays claim to innovative technologies for the industries of power generation, aerospace and transportation. The technology applicable to Baseline Service includes sensor-based measurement, monitoring, controls and inspection.

"We recognize the potential of smart machines, advanced analytics and people collaborating so we are continually driving towards solutions that help connect machines, data and people," states a company product overview.

Philip Kim, formerly the division's Marketing Operations Leader, summed it up in a presentation at the Tableau Customer Conference: "A lot of the assets that we monitor are the assets that power the economy. We provide equipment, services and software that help monitor that."

The various GE equipment now being offered at Baseline Service generally falls under three major categories: flow detectors, pressure calibrators and moisture and humidity sensors.

Baseline Service has been providing multi-vendor laboratory and process instrument support for more than 19 years. Its success is based on providing quality service by a staff of highly trained and experienced instrument, laboratory, and compliance personnel. That means they provide both the equipment and the people who know how to service and repair it.

"Experience, reliability, and cost savings makes Baseline Service the choice of some of the largest pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare and chemical companies and institutions in the country," Gelsomino attests.
