Moisture/Solids Analyzer
The SMART System5 provides automated microwave moisture/solids analysis. Microwave power output is controlled through the IntelliTemp infrared temperature feedback system, which continuously monitors the sample during the drying process, providing more reproducible test run conditions. Incoming line voltage is also monitored and power output is adjusted to normalize fluctuations. The combination of power output adjustment and IR temperature feedback decreases unit-to-unit variability, ensuring that customers with multiple plants achieve consistent results at all sites.
The system's built-in electronic balance has a 50g capacity and a >0.1 mg sensitivity. The system continuously weighs a sample during the drying process to ensure complete dehydration of the sample. The dual monitoring capability allows the user to correlate with AOAC and other temperature-based methods.
The system offers measurement from 0.01% to 99.99% in liquids, solids and slurries, providing the flexibility to run a range of samples. It has applications in many industries including food, meat, paints and coatings, pharmaceutical, chemical, pulp and paper, and wastewater. The system is durable and may be used either on the processing line or in a laboratory.
