MediPurpose Advances OEM Medical Device Partnership With EKF Diagnostics
EKF's Point-of-Care Tests to Continue Using SurgiLance Safety Lancets
Cardiff, United Kingdom -- MediPurpose, a master distributor and manufacturer of medical products, recently announced its continued partnership with point-of-care diagnostic equipment manufacturer EKF Diagnostics.
MediPurpose supplies SurgiLance safety lancets for use with EKF Diagnostics' POC blood analysis equipment, used in tests for glucose, lactate, hemoglobin, hematocrit and HbA1c.
"Supplying OEM medical devices to medical diagnostic manufacturers is a key component of our SurgiLance business model," said MediPurpose Director of Marketing Derek Rudnak. "EKF Diagnostics' desire to continue its relationship with MediPurpose is a vote of confidence that speaks to the reliability and quality of our OEM medical products."
EKF Diagnostics manufactures a range of equipment that analyzes vital organ function through blood values. Its latest offering is the Quo-Lab, which tests the HbA1c levels in the bloodstream. HbA1c values are the best long-range indicators of elevated blood glucose levels and are used in both the detection of pre-diabetes, as well as in monitoring blood sugar control in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes patients.
SurgiLance is currently available in six models, ranging from 18-26 gauges and 1.0-2.3 mm penetration depths. Valued for its safety, comfort and ease of use, the SurgiLance safety lancet is one of the top selling fingerstick devices in the United States and is available to healthcare professionals through a broad network of distributors, both in the United States and globally.
