Labotix's technological expertise was developed by a hands-on group of medical technologists working at both a world leading children's hospital and a commercial clinical reference laboratory. Some of the early Labotix team members helped to take the company from strictly research and development activities to that of manufacturing and integrating automation products and systems for medical testing laboratories.
Labotix is a full-service automation company with expertise in work flow analysis; process redesign; robotics design; engineering and manufacturing; application software programming; user interface design; and, integration of automated components. Labotix offers a family of engineering design and development services and automated systems that can improve laboratory productivity, efficiency, fiscal performance, safety and staff morale.

Labotix Automation has installed or about to install 14 laboratory automation systems in North America and Europe. Recent installations include Kaiser Permanente in North Hollywood, California, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City and Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama.
