  • Modular design—easy to add accessories for applications such as flame analysis and reflection measurements
  • Small footprint—illuminated cuvette holder is just 7-1/2" x 4" and weighs less than one lb.

The CHEM2000-UV-VIS is a small-footprint, PC-based spectrophotometer designed especially for chemistry educators and others who use spectroscopy as a teaching tool. It includes more rapid data acquisition and processing capability by viewing the entire spectrum—all 2048 wavelengths—in real time. All 2048 wavelengths are acquired and processed within milliseconds. This product comes with a 32-bit Windows program with a variety of signal acquisition and processing features. Standard functions include absorbance, transmission, relative irradiance and kinetics measurements. Also, the system can be operated with OOIBase32 Windows software, a more sophisticated program that is geared toward advanced students and instructors. It has a 2048-element linear CCD array that provides full spectral analysis from 200-850 nm within milliseconds. Indeed, compared to monochromators, the CHEM2000-UV-VIS collects more data in much less time. The CCD array and optical bench are mounted directly onto a 1 MHz ISA-bus A/D card that fits easily into a slot in the PC, freeing up bench space and keeping the spectrometer out of harm's way. The fully-integrated system has no moving parts to break down or misalign.
