Laboratory Safety & Flood Protection

Laboratory floods occur when water line tubing breaks. This can cause costly damage, especially if it occurs at night, or during the weekend. Neighbors on lower floors can become quite agitated. I²R offers a range of devices that can prevent floods from happening. Water Flow Monitor will shut Off the water supply and an electrical device such as a hot plate, heating mantle, or heating tape. Spill Alarm And Cut-Off will detect bench top or floor spills and shut off the water supply and associated electrical devices. On both items a solenoid valve is installed in the water line and will shut off when flow drops. The electrical devices plugged into the Water Flow Monitor and Spill Alarm will also shut off. Models for Open Flow and Closed Loop Flow systems are available. For permanent installations Water Flow Guard will protect water-cooled apparatus by shutting off the water supply and electrical devices. Three models with up to seven outlets are offered.
