Kewaunee Scientific Expands Coverage In The Middle East

Kewaunee Scientific Corp. (Statesville, NC), a laboratory furniture manufacturer, has added direct representation in the Middle East with the addition of Concorde Co. LLC, providing coverage in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and several surrounding territories. All other areas in the Middle East will continue to be covered by Kewaunee's major distributor, VWR Scientific Products.

"This new relationship allows us to better support our domestic customers' international needs, while at the same time expanding our markets through more direct international representation," said Eli Manchester Jr., Kewaunee Scientific's president and CEO. "The expansion of coverage into the Middle East follows our success entry into the Singapore region last year."

In 1998, Kewaunee Scientific entered into an agreement with an experienced laboratory furniture team in Singapore to form a joint venture company, Kewaunee Labway Asia, to serve the Southeast Asia region. Kewaunee Labway Asia serves as a full-service provider of laboratory furniture products, offering turn-key capabilities, with furniture and fume hoods provided by Kewaunee Scientific's Statesville operations.

Kewaunee Scientific designs, manufactures, and installs steel and wood laboratory furniture, worksurfaces, and fume hoods. The company also manufactures and sells technical furniture including workstations, workbenches, computer enclosures, and related accessories to support local area networks and for the storage and assembly of computers and light electronics.
