Infrared Imaging System

The FTS Stingray 6000 is an infrared imaging system that conducts imaging by using a focalplane array detector that produces multiple spectra in a single scan. This system is suitable for investigating heterogeneous samples due to the high spatial definition of the spectral data. It collects 4096 simultaneous spectrs from a 400 µm x 400 µm sample area, thus creating a high quality spectral image data set. This system can be used in the following areas of analysis: polymers, materials science, bio-medical, biotechnology, forensics, geological sciences, art restoration and textiles.
