The DSC 141, a high resolution DSC for research and quality control, has a transducer that is the result of combing a thermopile fitted under a thin, refractory plate and a power compensation fitting. This instrument includes piloting and acquisition software that pilots the instrument and monitors the transducer's cooling. Loaded with a power-calibration curve, this software enables stored files to be re-processed or other operations to be carried out during the acquisition task.
The features of this DSC allow for the characterization of polymer materials in all their forms, and the temperature range is especially appropriate for studying fusion, crystallization, glass transition, polymerization, and decontamination in a low-volume crucible or in a fluid-tight crucible for liquids.
