Fiber-Optic Transmission Probes

The Remspec liquid transmission probe is suited for highly dilute solutions in weakly absorbing solvents where the ATR probe does not have sufficient sensitivity
The Remspec liquid transmission probe is suited for highly dilute solutions in weakly absorbing solvents where the ATR probe does not have sufficient sensitivity. The transmission probe has the same slim profile as the ATR probe, and features an adjustable path length to accommodate different liquids. The ATR and transmission probe heads can be used interchangeably with the Remspec fiber-optic probe to give a flexible, modular system that works across a wide range of concentrations.
Using the liquid transmission probe, metal carbonyls at concentrations of substantially less than 1 mM have been readily observed and their reactions have been studied (Shaw and Geiger, Organometallics, 1996, vol. 15, pp. 13-15).
