Cascade TEK Adds High Vacuum Capabilities To Industrial And Laboratory Vacuum Oven Line

Hillsboro, OR - Cascade TEK of Hillsboro, Oregon has created a name for itself by providing turn key vacuum drying ovens for manufacturing, electronics, and research facilities worldwide. After years of customizing the existing SVO-9 Large Vacuum Oven they recognized an emerging demand trend for high vacuum applications.

This lead to the design and engineering of the SVO-9 TURBO Vacuum Oven. End users are now able to achieve vacuum levels well beyond other systems in a similar price range.

With a capacity of 9 cubic feet, the SVO-9 TURBO is designed to handle High-Vacuum levels in the 1 x 10-6 range and temperatures up to 220C. Mary Babitz of Cascade TEK told us, "The goal was to design a large automated hi-vacuum oven, able to execute a customer's specific drying process without the long lead-times found with most custom hi-vacuum products."

The SVO-9 TURBO control system is designed for simple push button execution of a specific vacuum drying process. Smart Relay Control automates the vacuum valves, as well as backfill, purging, and vent sequences. Temperature is controlled via a Watlow programmable ramp & soak controller. Vacuum levels are displayed digitally with full measurement ranges in mTorr & Torr. Both the roughing and turbo vacuum pumps are integrated, and are appropriately sized for the application.

While Cascade TEK has a base offering of six vacuum ovens addressing both laboratory and industrial needs, (http://www.cascadetek.com/lab-ovens.html ) they have positioned themselves as a custom engineered solution provider. "We are able to create a custom solution, equipped with application-specific vacuum pumps, controls and simple push button automation with relatively short lead-times," Mary explained. The SVO-9 series is one of the most affordable, "plug and play" large, hi-vacuum ovens available.

High Vacuum processes (also known as Hi-Vacuum) are used for a wide variety of electronic applications, wafer production, semiconductor production and degassing processes.
