Bruker Applied Mass Spectrometry Showcases Front-Line Chromatography-Free MS Screening At SOFT 2025

Chromatography-Free Forensic Kits Enhance Drug Screening Capabilities, and the Lab Accelerator Program Facilitates Rapid Method and Technology Adoption

Bruker Applied Mass Spectrometry will highlight advances in harmonized sample preparation for chromatography-free forensic screening across oral fluid, urine, and blood at the Annual Meeting of the Society of Forensic Toxicologists (SOFT) 2025 in Portland, demonstrating DART-MS technology on the EVOQ DART-TQ⁺ system. The approach overcomes immunoassay screening limitations and challenges, and also adds the advantage of both the fast screen and legally defensible LC-MS confirmation, efficiently done on the same mass spectrometer.

A key focus is the PinPoint Testing DART-ToxBox Kit, designed for the EVOQ DART-TQ⁺ and validated to ANSI/ASB Standard 036. The kit delivers accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity that outperforms traditional immunoassays, while allowing labs to reflex to LC-MS/MS confirmation on the same instrument. Applications include impaired driving, workplace testing, and bio-surveillance.

Attendees can learn about the Lab Accelerator Program, which helps labs adopt pre-optimized consumables, which minimizes time and effort, speeding up the adoption of new methods and technology.

Bruker will also present the timsMetabo, bringing on ion-mobility separation to lower mass ranges relevant to drugs of abuse, improving isomer resolution and reducing matrix effects in complex biological samples.
