Bio-Rad launches the KnowItAll analytical system
Bio-Rad Laboratories' Sadtler business, the leader in analytical informatics, recently announced the launch of its new KnowItAll(TM) Analytical System. KnowItAll offers the first, fully integrated environment for analytical techniques, such as IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV/Vis, GC, MS, Raman, and NIR. With this new system, researchers can have it all and know it all in one place. Search analytical data, access reference spectra, build databases (complete with spectra, structures, property information, and assignments), cross-reference data sets from various analytical techniques (including both Sadtler data and proprietary data), perform functional group analysis, and generate high-quality reports.
The feature that clearly distinguishes the KnowItAll Analytical System from other software products in the analytical market is a unique architecture that takes advantage of Microsoft's COM technology. KnowItAll offers one, simple and completely unified interface, so the user can easily transfer information from plug-in to plug-in without having to leave the main interface or open another program. The modular and customizable KnowItAll Analytical System offers a flexible environment in which users can choose the solutions to best fit their specific needs.
"The KnowItAll interface will set a new standard for analytical informatics," comments Gregory Banik, PhD, Bio-Rad Laboratories Informatics Division General Manager. "Our continued commitment to providing state of the art tools for analytical and chemical information management combined with the unsurpassed quality of Sadtler's analytical databases will bestow tremendous benefits to our customers, OEM partners, database content providers, and third party software developers."
To increase the power of KnowItAll, users can subscribe to Sadtler's HaveItAll database solutions for both NMR and IR. Sadtler's new HaveItAll NMR package offers the world's largest collection of fully verified data available today with over 120,000 13C and 12,000 1H NMR spectra. The unparalleled quality and quantity of the data dramatically improve the quality of the NMR chemical shift predictions. HaveItAll IR offers the world's largest database of over 200,000 infrared spectra of both commercial and pure organic compounds and is invaluable for identifying or classifying unknown spectra in industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Forensics, Materials Science as well as in Academia.
