BACKTRACK Tracking Software from TEKLYNX Supports Opticon
BACKTRACK asset and inventory tracking software enables administrators to easily and quickly design labels and tracking systems that are tailored to their organization's particular needs. Designers can rename BACKTRACK data fields and change other field parameters, such as selection menus and user prompts, to match their needs and terminology. The new BACKTRACK firmware driver allows customized fields and parameters, as well as data, to be transferred to the PHL-2700 handheld data collection terminals. The PHL-2700 terminals have Plug and Play (PnP) connectivity with the BACKTRACK asset and inventory tracking database software, making it effortless to "map" the collected data into the main database.
"Opticon has great hardware and TEKLYNX has great software. Together they're a flexible, inexpensive package with all the power of much more expensive systems," said Hank Weber, director of marketing for Opticon. "Our high-performance terminals can be used anywhere. With BACKTRACK software's easy to design applications and pre-programmed templates, our customers can now have complete, inexpensive, tailor-made data collection and tracking systems."
Commented Robert Blythe, vice president, Sales & Professional Services, TEKLYNX, "Opticon's handheld terminals are a perfect complement to BACKTRACK software. They are highly cost-efficient to deploy and their full-functionality keypad and scanner inputs give designers a lot of flexibility as they develop their data collection applications. Together, these products enable easier and faster development and deployment of data collection systems than with other software/terminal combinations."
