Newly Formed ASD Financial Offers Leasing Programs for Industrial and Laboratory Instruments

Analytical Spectral Devices, Inc. (ASD), the world's leading manufacturer of portable near-infrared (NIR) spectrometers, today announced the formation of ASD Financial. Launched August 1, 2001, the new group provides customers with leasing programs on the company's range of field-portable, laboratory- and industrial-grade spectrometers, spectroradiometers and spectrophotometers.

Programs developed through ASD Financial will allow customers to lease/purchase ASD instruments over a multi-year period, providing versatility for customers managing tight capital equipment budgets.

"The leasing programs offered through ASD Financial will assure that our customers have a solution that simplifies the process of acquiring and financing ASD's instruments," said John Enterline, director of sales and marketing at ASD. "This will allow us to provide our instruments to a much wider range of users and to accelerate the pervasive use of near-infrared technology in the remote sensing and materials identification and characterization markets."

The rental option will also allow customers to get a better feel for the instrument and its potential for their application before actually committing part of their budget to the instrument.

"Typically, the purchase cycle for these instruments is fairly long," added Enterline. "Most customers aren't allowed to purchase these types of instruments without first proving that they will work for a particular application. With the formation of ASD Financial, users can now try out the technology, prove that it works for their application, and then decide purchase it."
