AMETEK Grabner/Reid Vapor Pressure Analyzer Combines Laboratory Precision With On-Line Convenience

Versatile Unit Determines Vapor Pressure and Vapor-Liquid Ratio

LATHAM, New York - The MINIVAP ON-LINE process monitoring analyzer from Grabner Instruments is a stand-alone unit that automatically determines the vapor pressure of gasoline, crude oil, liquid petroleum gas (LPG ) and natural petroleum gas (NPG) as well as the vapor/liquid ratio temperature of gasoline.

The versatile MINIVAP ON-LINE is the only available process vapor pressure tester that fully complies to industry relevant ASTM standards for gasoline (ASTM D 6378 / D 5191), crude oil (D 6377 / D 323) and LPG (D 1267) and the vapor-liquid ratio temperature of gasoline (D 5188). With connections for up to three different sample streams, all of these measurements can be performed using a single instrument.

The MINIVAP ON-LINE is connected directly to the sampling stream through an automatic sample conditioning system. The unit's measuring chamber utilizes a unique patented triple expansion measurement method that considerably improves the quality and accuracy of the measurement. As a result, the MINIVAP ON-LINE achieves substantial cost savings by allowing refiners to blend their products as close as 0.3 kPa (0.05 psi) to official limits.

The unit's data is displayed on an easy-to-read, illuminated graphical display or transferred safely via fiber optic cable to a central control unit for continuous remote monitoring. The complete system is contained in a stainless steel enclosure on an aluminum rack for vertical wall mounting.
