The GCT is a benchtop orthogonal acceleration detector for EI, CI and Field Ionization of volatile/semi-volatile compounds. This system is capable of introducing samples online using a GC or a solids probe for direct insertion analysis. The mass analyzer offers mass resolution, high mass measurement accuracy and excellent sensitivity. This unit provides an alternative to FTMS instruments for the routine confirmation of non-polar synthetic intermediates by exact mass measurement. The detector's sensitivity and selectivity make it useful for mixture analysis, QA/QC of synthetic starting materials, natural product chemistry and investigation of drug product nonconformance.
