TERANODE Strengthens Pathway Research With Powerful Collaboration Solution

Teranode Corporation, the leading innovator of design automation software for the Life Sciences industry, today announced the availability of TERANODE Pathway Analytics, a modeling solution designed for scientists to leverage biological pathways information to accelerate discovery and clinical projects through experimental prediction and analysis. The solution combines collaboration capabilities with experimental data integration to create a complete analytic solution. (See also today's press release entitled, "Teranode Extends Analytic Design Automation with Newly Enhanced TERANODE Design Suite.")

This is the second of several solutions the company plans to release over the coming year to link laboratories together to create closed-loop R&D. TERANODE Pathway Analytics, a highly-visual collaboration environment enables users to standardize, centralize and manage evolving pathway knowledge. The solution integrates seamlessly with other TERANODE informatics solutions for rapid pathway refinement involving multiple labs. TERANODE Pathway Analytics takes advantage of the TERANODE platform that is already in use for pathway analytics applications by major pharmaceutical and academic organizations such as M.I.T., Amgen and AstraZeneca.

"The TERANODE Pathway Analytic Solution provides a modeling and simulation platform that strengthens our pathway research by providing visual biological models that can be leveraged for collaboration across labs," said David de Graaf, Associate Director, Pathways Group, of AstraZeneca. "We're starting to see an impact with our TERANODE installation enabling predictive modeling with relatively low overhead."

TERANODE Pathway Analytics consists of the award-winning TERANODE Design Suite and the TERANODE Model Server with off-the-shelf integration. Key features of the TERANODE Pathway Analytics solution include:

Biological Database Access
With the TERANODE Pathway Analytics technology, lab professionals have access to a wealth of scientific data including information from KEGG, SBML, NCBI and PubMed.

Model Authoring
TERANODE Pathway Analytics includes a graphical editor for pathway models as well as multiple annotation methods, enabling users to build and share new models more efficiently.

Collaboration
Integration with TERANODE Design Suite Model Sever, as well as SMBL and MATLAB export capabilities, allows R&D professionals to easily share and track research progress for improved project management.

Prediction and Analysis Capabilities
With TERANODE Pathway Analytics, scientists use models to predict experimental parameters and optimize use of lab resources. These same models are able to capture data from the lab to accelerate analysis of the actual versus predicted outcomes. TERANODE Pathway Analytics leverages simulation, color mapping, and other tools to enable prediction and analysis.

"With the increasing complexity of genomics and proteomics research, organizations are relying heavily on the ability to share lab, personnel and informational resources," said Neil Fanger, COO and Teranode Industry Development Leader. "Maximizing productivity in this complex environment requires a solution designed to streamline each point of collaboration from experimental data and analytic models to annotated findings. TERANODE Pathway Analytics provides powerful capabilities that deliver on all of these requirements giving pathway researchers the ability to streamline and accelerate their research."
