The California Board of Pharmacy’s January 1, 2015 ePedigree deadline is quickly approaching, and federal serialization legislation is being discussed in Washington, D.C. What are your biggest concerns? Will your company be ready? At this point, it’s vital that your company has some sort of serialization pilot plan in place.

To gain some insight into the preparedness of the pharma industry at large, I spoke with Chip Meyers, and Tim Bishop of UPS. In this Q&A, they shared some of the main concerns they hear from manufacturers regarding track and trace and offer their advice on moving forward with implementation. They also gave their opinions on how serialization will improve supply chain integrity.
