Spectrum Announces New Management Team

Gardena, CA - Spectrum Chemicals and Laboratory Products, a manufacturer of fine chemicals and distributor of laboratory equipment and supplies announced recently that Elizabeth Ferguson-Brown has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer; Mark Hurd has been promoted to President; and Sheldon Zhang has been promoted to President of Spectrum China. Ms Ferguson-Brown, CEO of Spectrum Chemicals and Laboratory Products, joined Spectrum in 1988. Prior to her appointment as CEO, Ms. Ferguson-Brown served as the President of Spectrum. Ms. Ferguson-Brown has a BS degree in Chemistry from Wayne State University and has more than 22 years of experience in the chemical industry.

Mr. Hurd joined Spectrum in 1989, and most recently was Executive Vice President. Mr. Hurd has a BS degree in Chemistry from the University of California at Irvine, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California at Fullerton.

Mr. Zhang has been with Spectrum since 2000, and has worked hard to build Spectrum China into a multifaceted center. Mr. Zhang has a BA in International Business from Shanghai Jiaotong University and a Masters in Economics from Hunter College.
