FEP (Teflon) tubing is chemically inert and suitable for lower pressure applications.
Great for general, lower pressure microbore applications
Available in translucent colors
Also in black for light sensitive applications
FEP (Teflon) tubing is chemically inert and suitable for lower pressure applications. Pressure tests on 1/32" OD tubing show it hold from 2,500 psi (172 bar) to 4,000 psi (276 bar), depending on ID.
Since this tubing is extruded in-house at Upchurch Scientific®, we ensure quality and carefully monitor tolerances. For 1/32" OD Teflon, inner and outer diameter tolerances are ± .0005".
Upchurch Scientific color codes tubing according thru-hole diameter, making it easy to identify different solvent lines.
The black version was created for light-sensitive applications. Some uses include:
- Entering and exiting the flow cell
- Chemi-luminescent reactions
- Radioactive inline HPLC
- Light sensitive enzymatic reactions
