A variable speed sectioning saw from Allied High Tech Products Inc. features automatic sample advancement. Called the Techcut, the system has a motorized X-axis table featuring an adjustable rate from 0.15 in/min to 1.5 in/min. The instrument also a Y-axis table that can travel up to 2 in. After sectioning, the table automatically retracts.
The Techcut has a vise with 2-in capacity that is grooved to accept round or oddly shaped samples. It has up to 7-in blade capacity. The device can be used in research and development projects and in general lab work.
