PCR Design Program

Primer Premier 4 is a design program that allows primer to be designed for PCR, sequencing or hybridization probes automatically or with full manual control. Using the editing facility, any primer can be mutated and full degeneracy is supported. It offers comprehensive analysis of secondary structures as well as a table of properties including melting temperature calculated using nearest neighbor theory, and optimal annealing temperature is displayed for each primer. This program also simplifies the primer synthesis process by automatically creating an order form addressed to any vendor. Available both online and in the printed format are graphs of melting temperature, internal stability and free energy.
