PAL-1 'Pocket' series refractometer

The PAL-1 ‘Pocket' series refractometer is the smallest digital hand-held refractometer in the world with the following specifications. With built in Automatic Temperature Compensation, the measurement value is accurate to +/- 0.2% Brix. The wide Brix range (0.0 ~ 53.0%) makes this unit suitable for most measurement applications. Also, the PAL-2, scheduled to be released by the end of 2003, will have the Brix range (45.0 ~ 93.0% Brix).

Unlike traditional analog refractometers where the measured value was subjective to each user reading the scale, the PAL-1 features accurate Brix measured values, digitally displayed to eliminate the guess work. Applying 2-3 drops of sample, measurement can be achieved in just 3 seconds, allowing you to complete your work in a fraction of the of the time.

Light and compact, the PAL-1's ergonomic design makes measuring an ease indoors or outdoors, in the lab or in the field.
