Luminescence Imaging System

The company's new luminescence imaging system, the LS Imager, measures the luminescence of 2- and 3-dimensional (2D and 3D) samples of virtually any size with great sensitivity. The instrument's Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) camera technology provides incomparable sensitivity, while the Winlight32 software allows for optimal camera positioning and sample measurement. It is a powerful tool that makes locating, counting, measuring and quantitating samples fast and easy.

The system adds a new dimension to life science research and is ideal for the study of 2D and 3D faint-light or luminescent samples. From microplates, blots, and high-density gels to living animals and plants, the imaging system offers accurate measurements.

The Winlight32 software automatically controls the system's height adjustments and focus, making the instrument easy to operate, while also ensuring maximum image size and allowing for continuous positioning of the camera.

The imaging system provides extremely low dark current and exceptional sensitivity through Peltier-cooling the camera to -70ºC. An optional back-thinned back-illuminated CCD camera provides enhanced quantum efficiency and sensitivity throughout the spectral region. Quantum efficiencies of nearly 80% can be expected, particularly over the blue-orange range, offering researchers accurate and reliable results.
