Kodiak Recirculating Chillers

The company has announced 0.1°C temperature control as the standard on all of their Kodiak recirculating chillers. Also incorporated into this design change is an option that allows for 0.1°C set point increments. Tighter temperature control and set point flexibility provides better process control for medical and industrial lasers, analytical instrumentation, medical imaging equipment, machine tools, high-speed printing presses, and other industrial applications.

Tighter temperature control was the result of two design changes. First, the refrigeration system was modified to provide a more uniform flow of refrigerant into the system's evaporator. This change improved the "cooperation" between the refrigeration system and the chiller's controller. Second the controller's cycle time was reduced. This allowed the controller to measure coolant temperature more frequently and adjust the cycle accordingly.

Kodiak chillers offer many standard features in a small, quiet package. The chiller was designed to provide an updated, quality image for OEM applications. The user interface is a completely digital, easy-to-program controller with an integrated pressure-indicating bar readout. All Kodiak models contain a robust, ozone-friendly refrigeration system with hot-gas bypass to extend compressor life, allowing for a two-year warranty, twice the industry standard. Five different cooling capacities--600, 1100, 2200, 3000, and 4500 Watts--are available with a variety of electrical, pump, and controller options to customize the chiller.
